Raiderball is a fast-paced, hybrid sport that combines elements of American Football, Basketball, Soccer, and Kabaddi, creating a thrilling and strategic experience for players and spectators alike. Each game consists of four quarters, with each quarter featuring 12 plays—six for each team. During a play, the offensive team, known as the Raiders, has 30 seconds to advance the ball into the opposing team’s Raidzone by dribbling, passing, kicking, or carrying. Once in the Raidzone, a Raider must attempt to score by tossing the ball into a circular hoop, all while facing the Raidkiller—a defensive player who can physically engage to block or hold down the Raider to prevent the shot.
While Raiders are tasked with advancing and scoring, the defending team must rely on strategic positioning and skillful blocking to intercept the ball or prevent entry into the Raidzone. Defenders are not allowed to make physical contact with the Raiders in the main field but can use their bodies to obstruct movement and passes. Only one Raider is allowed in the Raidzone at a time, maintaining the intensity of one-on-one confrontations with the Raidkiller. Successful shots into the hoop earn the Raiders 1 point, and possession switches to the opposing team after each play. At halftime, teams switch sides of the field to ensure fairness, and if the score is tied after the fourth quarter, the game moves into an overtime format with additional plays to determine the winner.
Raiderball’s innovative gameplay emphasizes speed, strategy, and teamwork, offering a dynamic challenge for players and an electrifying experience for fans. The game also prioritizes community involvement, as teams are owned by their local communities, with profits reinvested into charities and programs. The sport is designed to be inclusive and accessible, making it ideal for players of all backgrounds, including military troops and veterans. Whether you’re stepping onto the field as a Raider, Defender, or Raidkiller, or cheering from the stands, Raiderball delivers a unique blend of physicality, precision, and excitement that sets it apart from traditional sports.

Explanation on how penalties wok in Raiderball.
The flag version of Raiderball offers a non-contact alternative, making it perfect for children, the elderly, and mixed-gender games. In this adaptation, physical engagement is replaced with flags attached to players’ waists. While defenders use strategic positioning to block and intercept, only the Raidkiller can pull the Raider’s flag to stop their progress in the Raidzone. This version preserves the excitement and teamwork of Raiderball while providing a safer, more inclusive environment. It’s an excellent choice for casual play, community events, and programs that promote fitness and fun for all ages and abilities. It's a great way to learn the game!
